I have no recollection as to why I was that excited about styrofoam. A word on the jacket: please keep in mind this was the era of Kid N' Play and Sinbad. Bright florescent colors were manditory, plus it had several pockets which allowed for the storage of military factbooks and a Russian-English dictionary; the perfect synthesis of style and functionality.
