:: Iceland ::
Tuesday, October 14, 2008
Thanks to newfound proximity and a precipitously deflating local currency I was finally able to visit Iceland, a country I've been wanting to see for years, ever since I sat around listening to Sugarcubes albums in high school. While the tectonic rifts and geothermal splendor of the isolated island are renowned, a less-discussed but equally appealing feature of the island is its inhabitants. Contrary to their depiction in The Mighty Ducks 2, the Icelandic people are warm, talkative, and surprisingly devoid of hair gel.
I took some pictures you may or may not enjoy viewing.
