:: Epitaph epilogue ::

Monday, September 13, 2004

This past March I read a week-long journal in Slate which coalesced all my fears about mortality. While scary, the diary of a double-lung-transplant was ultimately hopeful and comforting.

Its author just died.

Hi, I'm the author's sister. Her only sibling. I just came upon your march entry and quickly jumped to September to figure out if you had read about Rosemary's death. You did. To answer one of your questions, she thought about death every day and large parts of every day. It had varied effects on her. She got depressed, angry, and unbearable at times. Then there was the other side where she fought it and truly "lived" each minute of her life. It's nice to come upon these things from time to time to be reminded that she made an impact on people and made them think. She would be quite pleased with herself. Take care and enjoy life as Rosemary did, most days.
